Kyppo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Kyppo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our project management service at kyppo.app (the "Service").

This document is provided as boilerplate for OAuth and general transparency. It is not legal advice. You should replace it with counsel-reviewed text before relying on it in production.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, display name, profile settings, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Google or GitLab OAuth).
  • Project data: projects, tickets, comments, attachments, labels, and collaboration metadata you create or are invited to access.
  • Usage data: logs, device/browser type, IP address, and actions needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Communications: messages you send us (e.g. support requests) and notification preferences.

How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate users and enforce access controls.
  • Send transactional emails and in-app notifications you enable.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run the Service (e.g. hosting, authentication, email delivery) under contracts that limit their use. We may also share information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Content you add to shared projects may be visible to other users you invite or who have been granted access within your organization or workspace.

Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and technical constraints.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Local browser storage

Some convenience settings (for example pinned projects, layout preferences, and similar UI choices) are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data stays on your device and is generally not synced to our servers unless otherwise described in this policy.

If you use a shared or public computer, sign out when you are finished and consider clearing your browser's site data for kyppo.app. While we scope local preferences per account where possible, another person using the same browser could still see session or device-level data if you do not sign out or clear site data. You are responsible for protecting access to your browser on devices you do not control.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
